I have been playing pétanque since 2022 and then qualified as a Pétanque England Category 1 Club Coach in 2024,

As a regular member a league team, I also enjoy taking part in regional competitions, where I am often used as a specialist shooter.

Leading our weekly coaching sessions is something I take great pleasure in, especially seeing members improve both their technique and tactical play.

The aim is always to make each session friendly, enjoyable, and supportive, so that everyone leaves feeling they have learned something new and made progress.

Having played pétanque since 2019, I am a regular member of the club’s league teams.

External competitions are something I also enjoy, and my game has developed to be well-rounded, with the ability to shoot or point as the situation demands.

Helping members improve their skills is something I am passionate about, whether through organised coaching sessions or by offering small tips during social games.

My coaching style is supported by many transferable skills gained from my time as a military instructor, as well as more than 30 years’ experience as a training adviser.

Having played pétanque socially for many years, I began competing in 2024 and gained my coaching qualification in Spring 2026.

Alongside pétanque, my coaching background includes qualifications in Life and Performance Coaching and as a Sport England Level 2 coach in Rugby Union.

Helping players improve their skills and enjoyment of the game is something I am passionate about.

My aim is to make coaching sessions friendly, positive, inclusive and supportive.

I focus on building confidence, developing understanding and making learning enjoyable for everyone.
